Collaboration with Key environmental Education Leaders project

HKOLA is actively participating in a collaboration with Civic Exchange and 15 other organizations, following the release of the report "Building on the Learning for a Green Future." This partnership aims to envision the ideal green school and to advance climate and environmental education within Hong Kong's educational landscape.

At HKOLA, we believe that integrating regular, positive experiences in natural settings with education on environmental issues can significantly influence behavioural change. Our focus with the project is on supporting educators to venture outside the classroom by providing materials, training and guidance to be able to do this. These will complement a database of teaching resources from contributing organisations on climate and biodiversity education and nature-based solutions. As the project develops, the aim is to develop further suggestions to the EDB on enhancing environmental education.

Our joint efforts will be essential in striving towards a nature-positive and carbon-neutral future. HKOLA is committed to supporting the development of outdoor education and looks forward to ongoing collaboration in this important initiative.
