OUTDOOR EDUCATOR

We are looking for full-time or part-time Outdoor Educators with prior experiences of guiding and instructing students and groups in outdoor adventure activities.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead AAS activities in a safe and efficient manner, attending to the physical, social and emotional well-being of the participants at all times
Making sure AAS programs meet or exceed the expected standard
Demonstrate enthusiasm, good judgment (according to training, policies and current industry best practices) in preparing, leading and wrapping up AAS activities.
Facilitate educational outcomes for the participants, though framing and frontloading the activity, using debriefing techniques (reviewing and reflection) and creating links to enable transfer of learning
CPR and First Aid Certification. Provide First Aid care if and as needed, to their level of training and according to the policies of AAS
Lead high dynamic activities, that can include (but not limited to), kayaking, cycling, rock climbing
Lead low dynamic activities, that can include (but not limited to), icebreakers, teambuilding activities, nature walks.
Maintain open and respectful communication with other AAS staff, clients, teachers, and the public

Possession of a valid first-aid certificate preferable.
Outdoor certifications (e.g., rock climbing, kayaking, hiking, team building) preferable.
Good command of both spoken and written English.
