Our theme this year is "small actions, BIG IMPACTS"

General
session style
(45-minute format)
As champions of hands-on, real-world learning, we believe the best way to enhance local standards in experiential education is by embracing an experiential approach. That means fostering inclusive shared experiences and guided discussions.
So no boring lectures or sales pitches - just a stimulating environment, based around an relevant topic, where attendees from across Hong Kong's vibrant educational community can freely ask questions and exchange a diverse range of ideas and perspectives.
The focus will be on active, collaborative learning rather than passive listening. We want attendees to roll up their sleeves, get involved, and help shape the future of outdoor and experiential learning in Hong Kong.
7x7 sessions
(7-minute, 7 slides format)
A twist on the PechaKucha (Japanese for "chit-chat") presentations format , we are calling for short, to-the-point sessions from passionate presenters.
Each presentation has only 7 slides lasting 1 minute each (7x7).
They are a chance for the community to share their passions and projects. Presentations could be:
-
a moving story of a pivotal moment in your outdoor leader life to inspire others;
-
tools and ideas that you want to offer (how to avoid burnout, or teach contours, or observing HK animals);
-
a call to action, or to raise awareness of an issue or the great work of a local NGO;
-
presenting on relevant academic research or ongoing projects;
-
your favourite place, obscure hobby, or reccommended outdoor reading list.
-
a philosophical pondering or ask a big question (What is outdoor learning for?)
What we offer
Lead speakers for general sessions (45-minutes) will receive a two-day ticket to the conference.
7x7 session speakers will receive a free 1-year membership, however we are unable to cover ticket prices.
We will assess all session submissions and make a final decision by 1st October 2025. We are searching for a diverse range of people and perspectives who are passionate about outdoor education. We welcome your submission, whether it's your first time or your fifth time!
Submit a
proposal
At this stage, just submit the title, and a short description of your proposed session.
If you have further questions, feel free to add them to the submission.
