Speaker Bio

Michael is an educator of over 15 years, whose teaching journey from the UK to Abu Dhabi and Hong Kong has been enriched by expeditions to Madagascar, Brazil, Borneo, and Malaysia. These experiences fuel his passion for outdoor learning in his dual role as a Middle School PBL Facilitator and Outdoor Education Coordinator. 


A committed advocate for local ecosystems, he volunteers his time to Hong Kong’s butterfly conservation and a native reforestation project, translating his passion for natural history into direct environmental stewardship. Currently completing his Forest School Leader training, Michael is a dedicated advocate for fostering deep, meaningful connections with the natural environment, driven by a desire to build a better world for his daughter.
